Anjanet is interested in ameliorating the burdens of aging and neurodegenerative diseases through advocacy and research. Throughout her undergraduate education, she interned at the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute, where she studied tau and TDP-43 pathologies. She then furthered her research during her graduate studies at the Harvard Dept. of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology studying the neurogenic effects of GDF11, as well as at the MGH/HST Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging working in both lab and patient settings. There, she tested novel tracers for neuroinflammatory markers, and was part of a team performing simultaneous PET/MRI experiments.
